Preach the True Gospel

This is what the Gospel of Christ did to me. The Holy Spirit convicted me of my sins and made me realize my spiritual depravity. He made me see that even my purest act of goodness is rubbish compared to God's holiness. He crushed me into pieces and made me so low in anguish, so low that I knew I needed a Savior. That's when I looked up and saw the Cross -- that's where I found my hope, my redemption. I turned to Christ, ran to Him for salvation. In His death on the Cross, my old self had died. Through the Blood of the Lamb of God, my sins have been pardoned and I've been justified. In His resurrection, God has breathe upon my dry bones and made me alive again. And by the power of the Holy Spirit, my heart is slowly being regenerated, being remolded to look like my Creator's heart, and will continue to do so until Christ Jesus returns. God will make me holy for He is holy. He will prepare me for eternity.

This is the power of the precious Gospel of Christ. I hate it when those who profess themselves as Christians try to sugar-coat it, subtracting from or adding to it, to make it attractive to those who do not yet believe in Christ. What an insult to our God! We are not called to mold the Gospel so that the world could accommodate it. We are called to preach God's truth like the prophets Jeremiah and Ezekiel did, no matter how unpleasant it may sound to unbelievers and how crazy we might seem to them. We can't offer healing without letting a person know he's sick. We can't lead a person to

the right path without him acknowledging that he's lost. We can't offer life to a person who doesn't know he's spiritually dead. We can't lead a person to look upon Jesus if we don't tell him his need of a Savior.

We are called to become the salt and light of this world so that, through the power of the Holy Spirit, this world could conform itself to the Gospel.

We don't need gimmicks. If we truly love people, let's preach the true Gospel that leads to true salvation. Let's preach the true Gospel that leads to life. Let's preach the true Gospel that points to Christ Jesus. Preach the Gospel and let the Spirit of God breathe life and speak to the listening hearts.
