The face of this guy: EPIC.
I was actually thinking about this the other day. For me, it surely is a terrifying thing to stand face to face with the HOLY GOD on the day of judgment, the God who can actually see through me and know what's really going on in my heart and mind and see my depravity. I'd rather you give me people's judgment anytime!
I also believe that the phrase "only God can judge me" is one of the most commonly misused Bible verses. I encourage everyone to, instead of
just picking a verse, read the entire chapter to make sure you're using that
verse in its correct context.
Matthew 7:1-5 NLT
“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you
will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the
standard by which you will be judged. “And why worry about a speck in your
friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to
your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you
can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in
your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your
friend’s eye.
In other words, if we're going to rebuke someone for
lying, for example, make sure we ourselves don't lie. Judge righteously.
2 Timothy 3:16 NLT
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach
us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects
us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
