PROVERBS 4:23

i could easily lose myself
and drown
in every intimate detail
of pain and bliss

or lie
oblivious
to the scorching heat
and numbing cold

and yet i choose
to hold Your hand
and remain
in Your chains

where i know
i'm safe

Lord,
come guard my heart.
